Harvey Nichols Haul - Charlotte Tilbury & MAC

I recently took advantage of a 15% discount at Harvey Nichols and picked up some Charlotte Tilbury products that have been on my wishlist for a while. Here's what I purchased:
Harvey Nichols Haul Charlotte Tilbury MAC
The Rock N Kohl Iconic Liquid Eye Pencil Eye Cheat For Bigger Brighter Eyes - I'm always looking for products to enhance my eyes, so can wait to try this as the formula is so soft (this was £19 before the discount).

Lip Magic Rejuvenating Smoothing Propolis Balm - I always have really dry lips no matter how many times I apply lip balm.  This was expensive, but I thought it was worth a try (this was £25 before the discount).

Lip Lustre Luxe Colour-Lasting Lip Lacquer in Ibiza Nights.  This is a lovely shimmering gold coloured lip gloss that works great on its own, but also goes perfectly on top of Charlotte Tilbury Lipstick in Stoned Rose that I already own (Ibiza Nights was £16.50 before the discount).

The girls on the Charlotte Tilbury stand were lovely and helpful as always and the one who served me gave me a couple of sachets of the foundation for me and my sister who was with me at the time).

Is it just me or does anyone else want to buy the entire Charlotte Tilbury range? Top of my wish list now are the Wonderglow Primer, the Light Wonder Foundation, Charlotte's Magic Cream and the Filmstar Bronze & Glow. I think that I will book in for a makeover so I can try all these products out before I buy just to make sure that they all suit me.

I addition to all the Charlotte Tilbury products that I purchased, I also picked up a Mac Lipstick in Brave. Sadly, they did not take part in the 15% discount offer or I definitely would have picked up a few more items.

Let me know what you think of Charlotte Tilburys range and what products you would recommend.

Elite Models Spa Face Konjac Sponge Review

I bought the Elite Models Spa Face Konjac Sponge from TKMaxx awhile back as I had been wanting to try out one of these sponges for ages.
Elite Models Spa Face Konjac Sponge
It's really easy to use, you soak it in water and then massage it on your face with or without a cleansing product.  I have used it both ways and found it works as well either way.  I prefer to use it with a cleansing product, but that might be because I have so many of them to use up. I do use it without the cleansing product when I'm in a rush though and I am happy with the results. It does make my skin feel really clean and smooth after using this product.

The sponge does harden when it's dried out but just pop it in water and it soon goes soft again.  It also has a little attachment so you can hang it up in the shower to dry off which is handy.

The Elite Models Spa Face Konjac Sponge is made from 100% natural vegetable fibres.  It cleanses and gently exfoliates and is suitable for all skin types.

I bought this for £3.99 I think from TKMaxx.  I can't find a price for this product on a UK website other than Amazon but similar Konjac Sponges are available from Feel Unique here.

What do you think of Konjac Sponges?

Metallic Nail Polish

I love metallic nail polish for so many reasons.  It's easy to apply and more often than not only requires 1 coat.  It drys quickly, you don't need to apply a top coat and if it chips, it's very easy to apply another coat over the top to cover up the chip.  They are the perfect shades for summer and winter and are appropriate for day and night.  At least I think so.  What's not to love.  So I thought I would just share a few of my favourite metallic nail polishes with you.

From left to right in the photos above:
  • L'Oreal Color Riche Saphir Treasure - This is a baby blue metallic shade
  • Essie - Nothing Else Metals - A gorgeous metallic lilac that I never get bored of.
  • L'Oreal Color Riche Sweet Amethyst - This is the perfect rose gold colour
  • OPI Haven't The Foggiest - This is a great silver polish
  • Marc Jacobs Gatsby - This is another rose gold shade that is slightly darker than the L'Oreal one above
  • Illamasqua Snap - This is a dark silver metallic that I love

IN.FUSED Coconut Coffee Body Scrub Review

I know I have said this before, but I do love subscribing to beauty boxes such as Birchbox and You Beauty Discovery as they are a great way of finding out about lots of brands that you don't see in places like Boots or Superdrug.  One such brand is IN.FUSED and I received a sample of their Coconut Coffee Scrub from You Beauty Discovery.
IN.FUSED Coconut Coffee Scrub
I have to admit that I was slightly taken aback when I opened the packet and what looked like coffee grinds landed in the palm of my hand.  I know it's called Coconut COFFEE Scrub, but I guess I just wasn't expecting so much coffee.  It also smells strongly of coffee, which I like (even though I don't actually like drinking coffee). As I said the scrub is mostly coffee, but you can also see dried coconut flakes and sugar granules.
IN.FUSED Coconut Coffee Scrub
You simply dampen your skin and apply enough to cover your whole body, then massage the scrub into your skin.  Leave on for 7-10 minutes, then rinse off with a light body wash.  The scrub is grainy enough to feel on your skin without being harsh and my skin did feel soft and moisturised after drying off and there was a noticeable difference on my elbows and knees which are usually very dry and need extra moisturiser after a bath.  I didn't have to use a moisturiser after using this scrub which is great.

Would I buy this again?  No I wouldn't purely because it makes a bit of a mess being dry and very dark and mainly because I then had to stand in the bath for 10 minutes as I didn't want to get the product all over the bathroom floor.  I think this product would be great at a spa, where I don't have to clean up afterwards.  That being said, the results were pretty good, so it's worth trying out if you don't mind the mess.  It costs £18.99 for 200g and all the ingredients are natural (the ingredients are listed on the website).

The mission of IN.FUSED is to detoxify, exfoliate and cleanse the body of common ailments the natural way without parabens and preservatives.  They do not test on animals and the products are handcrafted in the heart of London.

Whilst I won't be repurchasing the scrub, I would definitely like to try out the IN.FUSED Detox Bath Soaks (£19 for 100g) which look very relaxing which is right up my street.

Have you tried IN.FUSED?
