Boots Haul

Hi Everyone

Heres the Boots haul that I promised you.

Even though I have loads of nail polishes these caught my eye with all their glittery, dotty goodness and I just couldnt resist.  I ended up buying:
2 Maybelline Color Show Polka Dots in Shooting Stars (Blue) and Speckled Pink.    These were on offer buy 1 get 1 half price. They were £2.99 each and with the offer £3.48 in total.  It would have been rude not too.  I originally thought these were top coats but they aren't.  I found the Speckled Pink easy to apply and it looked really good but I struggled with Shooting Stars as I found it difficult to place the dots to get a nice even coverage.  I really do like them though and will look out for the other colours in the range.  As expected they were difficult to remove which is the one thing I really hate about these types of polishes, its too much like hard work.
2 L'Oreal Polishes in Top Coat Confettis which is the black and white polish which needs no introduction as its been on loads of blogs lately and Top Coat Carat in Saphyr Lurex which is a fine glittery blue polish.  These were £4.99 each but were on offer 2 for £7.  I put the confettis polish over the Elle Grey Mavala nail polish which I think I got free ages ago with a magazine and the Carat over a bright Turquoise Blue which is a Collection 2000 polish called Show Off.  These are old polishes that are probably not for sale anymore but its just to give you an example of what colours these polishes works with.  The confettis was difficult to remove but the Carat wasn't too bad.
I also bought the Sally Hansen Moisturising Polish Remover for dry brittle nails which includes pro Vitamin B5 with Vitamin E and Aloe Vera 200ml.  This cost £2.45 and was not on offer.  I'm really looking forward to finding out if this product will strengthen my nails as they are really dry and brittle at the moment.   I've used it once and it works really well at removing polish with just one swipe (not including glitter polish which takes a bit more effort).

Bourjois Cream Blush 02 Healthy Glow.  I have never actually owned a cream blush before but I was browsing the Bourjois stand and this caught my eye.   This is a nice matte peachy coral shade that is really easy to blend giving a flush of colour that is easily buildable.  It does have some glitter in it but it's quite subtle and just catches the light to add a little radiance.  This cost £6.99 as it had £1 off.    I really like this product and plan to buy more of the cream blushes in different shades.
And finally Bourjois Bronzing Primer.  I'm not going to lie to you, I bought this primer as it reminded me of Chanel Soleil Tan de Chanel Bronzing Makeup Base.   I'm not a major fan of bronzers, as on my colouring (which is fair to medium) it tends to make my face look dirty, but this seems to give a nice healthy sunkissed glow.  It's easy to work with, which is important to me as I don't like to spend loads of time applying makeup and even though it looks dark in the jar it blends really well.  This cost £6.99 as it had £3 off.  As an added bonus it smells devine.

I could have bought loads more, but I am definitely happy with the purchases I made. What products have you bought lately?

Bargains at Debenhams

I went to the Metro Centre in Newcastle last weekend and Debenhams had a few beauty bargains that I couldn't resist buying. Heres a photo.

I bought the following:
2x Caudalie Anti-Wrinkle Nourising Cream - 40ml each - for dry skin.  Was £27 - reduced to £8.10 each (70% off).  Now I don't have wrinkles yet, but I want to keep it that way, so I like to mix anti-aging products into my daily routine.   This is a rich formula that smoothes wrinkles and gives your skin exceptional anti-oxidant protection. Its free from parabens.  I am looking forward to trying this.
Nip + Fab Your Party Rescue Kit - was £20 - reduced to £6 (70% off) - This box contains all of the products you need to rescue the skin after a serious dose of partying!
FROWN FIX - 4ml - works to plump + smooth the appearance of expression lines, fine lines + wrinkles whilst hydrating and moisturising the skin.
SHINE FIX - 15ml - This mattifying gel helps to control shine + reduce congestion.
SPOT FIX - 15ml - A fast acting gel that targets blemishes. This effective formula helps reduce the appearance of problem prone skin.
LIP+NIP FIX - 15ml - this rich, soothing, healing balm is perfect for use on the lips and is a welcome relief on areas of dry, damaged skin.
The full price for all 4 of these products is approx £38, although I am sure there are offers to be had when buying individual products.
Butter London Nail Polish in Marrow - 11ml - I have wanted to buy a Butter London nail polish for a while now, but could not justify buying one for full price when I have over 100 polishes in my stash at home, but when I saw this baby for £3.60 instead of the usual £12 (70% off), I snapped it up.  It is a really nice deep purple colour.  In the bottle, it looks like there are sparkles, but this does not show when its on the nail, which I don't mind.  This polish contains no formaldehyde, Toluen or DBP.  It went on nicely with only 1 coat and dried quickly, so I will definitely buy some more colours from this range.  Heres a photo.

Finally a bargain fail.
Filthy Gorgeous Nail Polish in Satchel - £2.70 instead of £9 (70% off).  This looked like a really nice mauve/taupe colour, but when I opened it the brush had fallen off and the nail polish was all dried up.  You couldn't tell this unless you opened the bottle, which I didn't do before I bought it.  I will return this back to Debenhams, when I next go shopping.
I hope you enjoyed reading about my bargains.  What bargains have you bought lately, let me know?

Follow my blog with Bloglovin

My first blog post ever!!!!

I have finally decided to start my own blog after reading some great blogs, which I have found inspiring and have led to more than a few naughty purchases.  I have been thinking about starting a blog for a while, but first of all I couldn't think of a name, then I wasn't sure if I had loads of things to write about.
Well, I just thought of a name while travelling back home in the hideous rain, and I have been making a few notes lately about things that I can write about, so I thought I would give it a go and see what happens.  I hope you enjoy reading my posts and please feel free to comment and provide feedback.  I really hope that people will read my blog, but if not, I enjoyed writing it, so I guess thats the main thing.
If things go well I think I will try and do a giveway when I get 50 followers (If I am lucky enough to get that many).
As the name of the blog suggests, I am into beauty and I definitely love a bargain, but I will be blogging about all sorts of things, movies, books, travel, shopping, days out etc.  Anything that takes my fancy really.
Heres just a little bit about myself, I am 30 something and work full time, no kids.  I love travelling, I have 3 cats and 1 horse (you may meet them later). Im a bit shy, so you probably wont see me feature in many photos, but there will be plenty of photos in my posts.
Anyway thats enough of an introduction for now, I am going to write a post shortly about a beauty haul I did today. I have posted a quick preview photo below.
